The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services to the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency said it's alarmed with regards to the superior number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The intention with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your substantial variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no entirely functional office focused on service the area every day. The service point established for intervention activities SRD a substantial influx of potential beneficiaries, which makes it difficult for that office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more means to permit the servicing of all clients and maximize entry to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
